I have a five day holiday starting Wednesday. Go Thanksgiving! Drinks all around

. Tomorrow I have basically nothing but work - and work's nothing. Riding/ being with horses for 3 - 4 hours, terrible, I'm shaking in my boots.
I need to start my Christmas shopping, I bought Tardee and Sally new blankets, leg wraps, and halters. Tardee has a zebra print, because I hear it's "all the rage" apparently, and strips are slimming (and I secretly want him to look like a Zebra). Sally is getting leopard spots, because she's palomino and it'll look good. My jumping instructor, the lady who co - owns Sally had me order it in Tardee's size because we need to "talk at the end of the month about Sally". She's old and she usually will only eat grass - not grain, oats, or anything else ( I didn't know I haven't been present for her feeding in a while). She wouldn't be able to put on and keep on enough weight to be healthy through the winter. And the winters here are cold and harsh.

- I am literally, no joke, crying at the thought of losing her. I know what we have to talk about, we talked about it in the summer; and I know it's not fair to keep her here and make her summer through the winter. Her mum and grandmum died at 24, and she's 26. She's had a wonderful life, but I don't want to loose her, and I didn't breed and raise her like my instructor did. Goodness this is why I can't become a vet, I would never be able to do this. Hopefully we'll discover that Sally's able to survive through the winter on grain and hay, but it's not looking good. Pray, that's all I can do. I'm part of the decision, but it's finitely my instructor, her judgment will be as good, most likely better than mine, and well she'll do what's best.
